what our clients say about insideout's the mentoring M&E support
“Thank you for visiting us last week to assist us with a much-needed M&E framework. It was greatly appreciated.”
“Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us during the training. We found the idea of M&E challenging - it challenged us to think strategically in dealing with planning and what results we want at the end of the day. It was very valuable for us to think about how we will know that that we have achieved our goals!”
“Before the training, our monitoring was terrible - we didn’t have any monitoring in place and certainly did not have any indicators. Now with every step we take we can monitor the quality of our whole programme. Thank you!”
“insideout staff is excellent – you are really specialists in this field. You really opened our eyes.”

what past interns say about their internship at insideout
“For me, the most important thing to learn while I was doing my internship at insideout was to become aware of how to use my field of study in a practical environment and non-academic manner. I learnt how to practically implement what I theoretically learnt at university. I've always been impressed by the professional way insideout is working and what makes them – as far as I can estimate – to be one of the leading companies in their field of work. To be introduced and involved into everything insideout was working on and to see the impact of my work always made me feel like a full member of the insideout team.”
“I really think you’re doing a great job of supervising interns. At least that was the impression I got in the weeks I spent with you. In Germany it’s hard to find an internship in which you get so much responsibility AND such great colleagues. I learnt a lot about evaluation, project- and time management (how to do and how not) and the African way of life (...still miss it here...). If I should imagine my perfect working environment it would look like insideout. Not too big + diversified things to do + friendly atmosphere + no big bureaucracy = PERFECT!”
“When I first arrived at insideout I pretty much knew less than the basics of what M&E entails. I can honestly say that after I completed my internship I feel much more comfortable with M&E concepts and feel confident to participate in discussions concerning M&E. Because insideout is not too big I got the opportunity to work closely with both the directors and learnt so much from their knowledge and experience in the field. I was exposed to various aspects of doing an actual evaluation as well as M&E training. As an intern I did many logistical and administrative tasks that might seem menial, but I belief that I got a very good understanding of what insideout does and how they do it. As time progressed I was entrusted with more responsibilities and was exposed to more complex aspects of M&E that I would not necessarily have learnt from books. I really enjoyed my time, learnt a lot, hope to continue working for them in the future, and would recommend any intern who wants to learn more about M&E to apply for a position with this company.”
